about

As you can tell by the subject matter of many of these songs apple growing is a big part of my life. For 20 + years I have grown to know these trees and what they have gone through. In 2005 there was an enormous snowfall in October before harvest was complete. The wet snow cmae close to a foot high on the branches that were still filled with apples and leaves. We lost many trees-150 semi dwarf trees and 5 of the 10 standard trees that were uprooted (deracinee). Amazingly 5 of these old (100yr.) trees were able to hang on by some of their deep roots and rejuvinate. They are producing to this day.
However, in the decimation of most of these trees, wandering around, feeling sick, this beautiful melody was sent to me.
